Bio:
Sheila Stapleton is a self-taught emerging artist, who is first generation London Irish and now living in County Limerick. The abstract nature of her work is influenced by life, and the many experiences encountered. In particular, she is inspired by the ‘CONTINUED BONDS’ often experienced after a significant loss. Continuing bonds in grief is the idea that we are no longer required to detach or disconnect from someone we care about after they die. Instead, it encourages us to nurture a new relationship with them via nature (robins, flowers etc). Sheila loves to work with acrylic and texture as it enables an enjoyable pace and an element of fun.
