Bio:
Based in Tralee, I paint in Oils and Watercolour. My inspiration comes from ordinary, everyday scenes, people, and objects around me.My work is generally figurative. When working in oils, I love using lots of thick, juicy paint to create rich, saturated colour and texture in my pieces.Working in watercolours feels so magical, watching the colours blend and expand on the wet paper.Life can be frenetic and anxious for us all but I hope to give the viewer a space to pause and feel the magic and beauty of the seemingly mundane that surrounds us.Mainly self- taught as well as numerous art courses, I am constantly learning, developing and evolving as an artist. I like to challenge myself so I attend workshops, masterclasses and courses to enhance my skills set and feed my creativity.
